Cundall worked with with BLL and its clients Lend Lease and The GPT Group on the Rouse Hill Town Centre. A mixed use Town Centre in Sydney's north west, with the centre opening its second and final phase in March 2008. Cundall worked closely with the client and the architectural team of Rice Daubney, Allen Jack and Cottier and Group GSA, in providing environmental modelling as part of an integrated design approach. Cundall have taken an overall environmental approach of considering the climatic environment, the bulk building forms and effect of the open street environment to predict overall comfort and amenity. Using CFD to establish likely wind patterns in the streets, thermal modelling to predict air and radiant temperatures we have used the Standard Effective Temperature index (SET*) to predict the overall comfort environment. |
